Haiku from the Headlines #10

I didn’t simply scan today. I read the article. And another one about the same topic. Halle Berry’s film Frankie & Alice is finally getting theater distribution even though it’s been three years since received a Golden Globe nomination for role in this picture. Some critics believe the film was deemed a dud back in 2010 when it was first released, but is now getting a chance because of the recent success of black films at both the box office and on the award circuit. This is fodder for a longer piece. Trust me. In the film Berry plays a go-go dancer named Frankie in the 1970s who has multiple personality disorder. One of her personalities is a white supremacist named Alice. Poem and article below.  Also check out the trailer. This is a film I’d like to see.
