Jennifer Hudson is a beautiful woman. But her new skinny makes her look like a head on a stick quite honestly. I am glad that she is taking her health seriously. But I’m not happy about the way the press is talking about it. They’re treating her fat like it was a terminal disease that she’s survived. They’re also treating her fat like it was ugly. Hudson before weight loss is now someone to pity, someone to speak of in terms of regrets. Yes this is what the media in that music/fashion/pop world does but that doesn’t make it acceptable. Being “fat” is not a disease and its not ugly. Being “fat” does not always mean that you are unhealthy. And looking at her timeline of before and after photos you can clearly see that the stylists do not know how to dress full figured women. Any woman with a little size gets homely dresses and long skirts as opposed to the sexy, form fitting attire Hudson wears now. Yeah, “fat” isn’t sexy either. Its time for this conversation about body image in mainstream media to change.
